Fisherman in Tel Aviv, Oil on canvas 18" x 24" Aviv The inspiration for this painting came from my collection of photos which resulted from a recent trip to Israel. The vistas and the people were unlike any I have seen anywhere else. Fisherman in Tel Aviv was based on a Haifa vista taken from Tel Aviv. The fisherman and his bicycle loaded with bait and other supplies provided me with a wonderful opportunity for a landscape oil painting. When I switched to digital photography I discovered that I had so much more freedom to enhance the shots I had, sharpen them up and combine them in combinations I had never been able to do previously.
