The Naked Cowboy has been a fixture of Broadway in New York City for several years. No matter what the weather, he is out there, wearing only his cowboy hat, socks, sneakers and briefs covered by his guitar. On this particular occasion I felt that he would make an even more than usually unusual subject for a colorful Times Square painting as he was apparently running for mayor, hence, the name of the painting. Imprinted on the back of his briefs were the words "Naked Cowboy for Mayor". This part of the city with all the the bright colors and interesting people provides me with endless subject matter.
