Olive the Selection, Watercolor on paper 12" x 16"

This watercolor was the result of a trip to the South of France where we stopped at an outdoor Farmer’s Market where one could buy just about anything. I loved the colors of the endless varieties of olives and painted each olive individually, almost making this a cross between a landscape painting and a still life. There is a tremendous amount of minute detail in Olive the Selection making it my favorite watercolor. If you look carefully at the painting you will notice that there is even a selection of wine bottles lined up in the background, which exemplifies my usual painting style. The neutral tones of this watercolor make it an outstanding addition to any area of your home. A limited edition of giclee prints is available.
